7-25-2008: SkyThing Announces A Better WiFi in the Sky: AMBIT Corporation announced today that it will offer its proprietary internet service system "SkyThing" to US-based airlines,communications providers, and other entities. The
SkyThing system could double the number of revenue-producing in-flight
users and provide more convenient access to business and vacation
travelers, it is believed; "Passengers on short flights are more likely
to use our system to purchase products and services" explained Robert J
Crowley, president of AMBIT Corporation that currently owns the
SkyThing product plan and system rights. "Our estimates say that we can
double the number of users and more than double the expected revenue
for any given flight segment using our system."
AMBIT Corporation is a pioneer in carbon nanotubes, and is the inventor of the carbon nanotube antenna array,(right) which has many potential applications in sensing, imaging,electronics and energy fields.
